The proper shaped
transfer pad is very important in the pad printing
process.
-
A Conical
Shaped Pad is
the most popular, since
you never want to pick up the image in the
center of the pad.
-
A Roof
Shaped Pad is needed for printing
items like pens or when two lines of straight
line graphics can be picked up on either
side of the center.
-
A Loaf
Style Pad is used for square or
rectangular graphics or for larger solid
areas.
Generally, the
harder the pad the better the print quality,
but softer pads are required for larger print
areas and larger solid graphics. The pads are
mounted on 1/2" plywood so add that in to the
height to insure that it will fit on your machine.
